Form, function, creativity and craftsmanship are the focus of this student driven class. This is a great time to explore your creative path. Closed toe shoes are required for safety. This class has a ½ hr lunch break.

Sand casting is a technique that has been used since the earliest days of humanity. It is a fun technique you can use to create duplicate items in a short time. You can cast items from nature or bring in jewelry you have previously created to produce replicas. After finishing, your castings will be ready to be used in your own jewelry designs or small sculptures. Bring in your silver scrap to recycle. Please print your supply list. For safety, closes toe shoes are required. Supply Kit fee of $20 payable to instructor 1st class.

Challenging techniques will be presented as you create your own design aesthetic. Bring a sketchbook, notebook, your tools, metals and your imagination. Metal can be purchased in class. Electro forming is a fun technique that literally grows copper onto a surface treated with electro conductive paint. Crystals, shells, coral, branches, leaves, plastics or other metals can be encased in copper. This class will have you thinking outside of the box when it comes to jewelry design. There is a supply kit fee of $20 for this class, payable to the instructor. Please print your supply list.

Get to know the basics of jewelry making and design. You will learn skills such as soldering with a torch, sawing, forming metal and polishing.
