Discover the fun of making unique fused glass jewelry. This 2-day class covers the beginning of creating one-of-a-kind dichroic jewelry by using frits, stringers, decals, paints, micas, and dichroic glass. Techniques covered include cutting, grinding, layering and making holes to make earrings, pendants, bracelets, rings, and cabochons. Supply fee $35 payable to the instructor.

Intermediate and Advanced Jewelry Techniques, Donna Carrion

Adorn your fingers in this creative workshop. Learn to cut, form, solder, and size rings properly. This class will be filled with lots of technique. Bezels will be hand fabricated and added to your rings. Soldering and set up will be a focus as well as forging and texturing ring shanks. Students must be independent, advanced and equipped with skills to solder alone. New soldering techniques will be covered as needed. Each session will cover a different jewelry making technique. Students will have time to develop creativity while practicing or learning a new skill. Class will be focused on finishing what you start or re-visiting unfinished projects. Time will also spent on craftsmanship, cleaning and polishing of your jewelry. Knowledge of ACM studio required: proper tools usage and studio safety is a must. Advanced students only.
