Create your own micro mosaic jewelry! Choose your favorite colors and start designing. A tempting array of materials will be provided, including many types of glass: Filati, Millefiori, rods, Stained glass, Italian smalti and numerous other embellishments. We will discuss how to design, cut the materials and securely place the small pieces. You can make either square, round or rectangle sterling silver plated pendants or earrings. All tools are provided. The supply fee is $20 per piece payable to the instructor. Earrings are one piece. Come have fun and leave with a finished piece to wear or gift.

Gain the skills to set nearly any shaped stone. Setting unusually shaped objects can be a challenge. This workshop will focus on how to achieve a perfect fit by exploring creative settings for your special object. Learn to create custom bezels, prongs and the many unique settings to capture and showcase your stone or found object. Students will learn how to make their own bezel strip from wire, textured bezels and more.

Learn the magic of Argentium. The Argentium silver alloy provides some unique advantages over sterling silver. Come explore the possibilities. This workshop is designed for students who want to more comfortable with fusing Argentium. Fusing wires, bezels, sheet, shapes and granules will be covered. The focus will be creating earrings and small pendants with fused pattern and bezels.

In this class you will learn how to design and fabricate a one-of-a-kind pendant using techniques such as sweat soldering, pierce sawing and bezel setting a cabochon. Learn tips and tricks to help you work smarter, not harder and grow more confident in your metalsmithing abilities. Beginners are welcome but must possess some experience with soldering. Students must wear closed-toe shoes and have knowledge of studio safety. Supplies can be purchased in class or from list provided.

Learn a technique that dates back centuries. Create a beautiful chain, one jump ring at a time which will be drawn through a plate to create uniformity. You will also bezel set a stone to create a necklace or bracelet. Other techniques will include oxidizing, wire wrapping and creating a clasp. Beginners are welcome but must possess some soldering skill. Closed-toe shoes and studio safety knowledge is required. Supplies may be purchased in class. Please download supply list.

Jump right into metalsmithing even if you are a beginner! Make a beautiful Spinner Ring creating a wide band that allows smaller rings to spin around on the outside. Learn to sharpen your metalsmithing skills with measuring, sawing, soldering with a torch, forging metal and polishing. You will complete your ring in this one-day workshop. Please plan on a metals/material fee of $30 to $50 payable to the instructor on the day of the class. Closed-toe shoes are a must.

Discover the art and craft of jewelry making in this introductory course designed for beginners. Over the course of this program you will learn essential techniques to forge, pierce, form, solder, and polish your own unique pieces of jewelry. You will gain an understanding of metal and be able to manipulate its properties to suit your creations. Once your piece has taken shape you will learn various methods to polish and finish your creations, giving them a professional look. Emphasis will be placed on safety and efficient practices. Closed toe shoes are required. Denim and cotton clothing are highly recommended. New projects will be made during each series of classes. Materials such as metal and saw blades will be purchased during class. Supply fees are paid before each project. If you attend the evening class please bring a check.
