Addie Rose started teaching at ArtCenter Manatee in the fall of 2022. Prior to that she worked as a potter and pottery instructor at Arts Ablaze in Lakewood Ranch.
Pottery has been a lifelong passion of Addie’s. She started working on the wheel in middle school. Addie graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Ceramics & Studio Art in 2003 and studied under Paul Donhauser and Randy Johnston. During her military career, she always sought out a kiln and a wheel to keep her artistic passions alive. Her inspiration explores the dynamic between various energies, forces and influences. Typically she explores this through combining wheel thrown and handbuilding techniques and various glazing methods. She welcomes beginner through advanced students in all her classes and offers Beginner Wheel throwing (Mondays 1-4pm), Monday evening wheel throwing (5:30-8:30pm) and Combination Wheel and Handbuilding (Wednesdays 5:30-8:30pm).
Her motto is Pets, Pottery & Yoga. Do more yoga, be more YOU! When she’s not practicing or teaching yoga, Addie enjoys SCUBA diving, traveling, and volunteering with The Haven and the Florida Aquarium. Addie is also an avid animal lover, she started pet sitting in 2022.
