New to clay, or growing your skill level? This is the class for you. Beginners to advanced students. Each level will have challenging projects where you’ll learn new techniques. You will have hands-on instruction and learn the fundamentals, from the basics of forming and shaping clay to incorporating decorations and embellishments. Included in fee: 25 lbs of clay, in-studio glazes and firings.

The basic steps to throwing will be the focus for beginners while more advanced students will be challenged by more complex forms and techniques for achieving greater scale or diversity of form. Demonstrations will repeatedly show the techniques, which will lead to the student’s success, through practice. Students will also explore the myriad ways to apply glazes to their pieces and experience the differences between mid-fire (cone 6 electric) and hi-fire (gas fired cone 10 reduction) glazes. Bring your own tools or purchase at front desk. Includes 25 lbs. of stoneware clay, in-studio glazing & firing.
