Demonstration and individual guidance provided, projects can follow demo or grow from each artists imagination and style. Please bring pottery & sculpture tools or purchase from the front desk. Class fee includes 25# of clay, bisque and glaze firing.

New to clay, or growing your skill level? This is the class for you. Beginners to advanced students wheel throwing. (Hand builders are welcome). Each level will have challenging projects where you’ll learn new techniques. You will have hands-on instruction and learn the fundamentals, from the basics of forming and shaping clay to incorporating decorations and embellishments. Included in fee: 25 #s of clay, in-studio glazes and firings.

This class will help you develop successful acrylic paintings and expand your portfolio. Everyone that paints is unique and I will work with you to discover strengths/needs. There will be individual and assigned projects. Each class will begin with an individual critique. Areas we’ll explore: mixed media; palette knife, library of design materials; skills with brush; self-designed papers; brayers; scrapers; use of molding pastes; gels, poly; pumices; varnish; tar gel, etc. A lot to a little design concept.

Colored pencils are an ideal medium for fine art! Beginners learn the basics, and apply them to a project. Experienced students will be guided in finishing their own work. All will learn about the best pencil brands and surfaces, color mixing and creating effects quickly. New students receive a Stonehenge pad; exercise sheets and pre-printed subjects with color references will be available. Bring your own pencils or borrow from the instructor.
