The basic steps to throwing will be the focus for beginners while more advanced students will be challenged by more complex forms and techniques for achieving greater scale or diversity of form. Demonstrations will repeatedly show the techniques, which will lead to the student’s success, through practice. Students will also explore the myriad ways to apply glazes to their pieces and experience the differences between mid-fire (cone 6 electric) and hi-fire (gas fired cone 10 reduction) glazes. Bring your own tools or purchase at front desk. Includes 25 lbs. of stoneware clay, in-studio glazing & firing.

Take kiln-formed glass to the next level. A great opportunity to further explore glass fusing. Students determine their own projects and pace, and receive guidance and technical support with encouragement for larger, more complex works. Use of tools included. Supply fee based on individual use of materials. Open to students that have taken a previous fusing class or prior glass fusing experience.
