Huichol Yarn Painting comes from the Huichol Indian people, who live in western Mexico in the Sierra Madre mountains. The yarn paintings traditionally depict Huichol myths / ceremonies, but modern works can represent stories of today’s world. The yarn paintings are called Nierikas, made with glue and yarn, and you will be designing your own Nierikas in class! If you are a beginner artist or advanced, this class will be perfect for you, welcome!
