Ted Camp B-A
Thursdays 9:00-12:00
Students will produce work and apply special glazes to their bisque-fired work BEFORE class. During class, work will be fired quickly and then removed from the hot kiln while the glazes are still molten. Work will then be placed into smoking chambers where the glazes will develop a variety of surface and colored effects unique to raku while rapidly cooling. Students will be encouraged to try naked raku, obvara, and horse-hair techniques. Fee includes 25 lbs. of clay, in-studio glazing and firing.
