Students will learn the basics of metalsmithing and jewelry making. Many techniques will be covered including sawing, soldering, texturing and forming metal. The instructor will guide students in designing and creating a series of different projects including ring making, stone setting and more. Projects will be created using mixed metals (copper, brass, steel). Sterling silver will be available as an option. Materials will be purchased in class.
Safety First! Please tie back long hair and wear closed toe shoes.
