Juror: Mary Alice Braukman

Mary Alice has been active professionally for over 50 years and is an internationally recognized artist and teacher. She is an innovative and creative artist who works continually on new ways to present images that evoke a sense of motion and dimension, texture and an unearthing of paints/and colors. The act of painting is what interests Mary Alice. Her work is intuitive and it records her personal experiences. She is a much sought after teacher, advisor and juror. Her work has received numerous awards including national and international awards.
Mary Alice is a graduate of Florida State University with a BS in Fine Arts and Art Education. She continued graduate studies and taught in the Hillsborough County school system. Then she moved to Denver, Colorado, and was the art consultant for the Cherry Creek school district. She was president of the Florida Watercolor Society in 1991 and 1992 and served on the society’s executive board until 1998.
