Developing Ideas for Creative Paintings Instructor: Donna Zagotta Supply List Workshop Supply List A few black markers in various tip widths 9x12 pad art quality tracing paper (Canson brand is good) Sketch paper Your usual supplies: sketchbook, paints, brushes, palette, papers, support boards, etc. Reference photos (only those you've taken yourself), sketches, or still life set ups - for paintings to be done in class I will be doing a demo on adding body-color to watercolors. If you want to experiment with opaque watercolor, you will need a tube of Winsor & Newton Permanent White Designers Gouache and a hot press paper like Lana Hot Press 140 lb. or 300 lb., or Crescent #115 HP watercolor board. For this technique you will also need a variety of flat "stiff-ish" brushes - not as soft as sable but not as stiff as oil painting bristle brushes. |
