Four types of shows are included in our program:
- Open, all media shows: open to all artists regardless of media or style. An entry fee is charged for participation in these shows and these shows are juried for entry and prizes. You do not have to be a member of ArtCenter Manatee to participate in these shows, but the entry fee is reduced for members. ArtCenter Manatee membership, which is valid for one year from the date of purchase, is available to anyone at any time.
- Member shows: ArtCenter Manatee normally schedules one exhibition per year in all three galleries for members only. These shows are juried for entry and prizes.
- Invitational shows: These are organized by the Exhibition Committee in order to introduce new talent, bring diversity to the schedule and to focus on a particular medium or theme. Often, the artists are regionally and/or nationally known and may be part of a traveling exhibition.
- Members’ Gallery: The Janet Reid Hodges Gallery is available for members to submit pieces of art for display during the months of mid-December through mid-January, May, June and through July. Pieces are juried for entry, there are no prizes awarded and there is a nominal fee per entry. For further information regarding any of these exhibitions, please contact us by phone, fax or e-mail.
