The Joy of Watercolor

Roger Rockefeller     B-I
Thursdays 2:00-4:30 or 6:00-8:30

Watercolor is a friendly medium and we all have a bit of the artist in us! The trick is to start with a small number of colors and learn the methods of applying them to paper: wet on wet, wet on dry, dry on wet, and dry on dry. After learning about the medium, we will go on to practice techniques and color mixing with simple, small paintings followed by some final, quarter sheet paintings (images provided). There will be instructor demonstrations and lots of feedback as you work. Sessions may be repeated as we will use a different set of examples at the beginning-intermediate level.

Session 1: Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
Session 2: Jan. 8, 15, 22, 29, Feb. 5
Session 3: Mar. 19. 26, Apr. 2, 9, 16
