Intro To Relief Print Making

Explore the tradition and charm of hand-printed images, rich inks, and beautiful papers. Learn the art of relief printmaking, from drawing and design tips, to carving and printing. Bring a favorite sketch or photo and interpret it as a graphic linocut. Make black and white prints and then explore creative options, combining prints with watercolor and collage techniques. Each student will leave with an edition of black and white prints, handmade card, a one-of-a-kind print, and tips for further exploration. All materials provided, including carving blocks, carving tools, inks, and papers. Material fee of $15 payable to the instructor.

Beginning Glass Beads

Play with fire and make your very own glass beads. This course covers basic flame working skills using a torch to melt rods of glass into beads. Students will learn through lecture, demos and and hands on experience. Topics include learning how to set up a work station and safety tips. Techniques covered include various designs using dots, pulling stringers and twist-ties, raking, basic shapes, millefiori and applying frits. Supply fee $30.

Woven Glass Bowl

The Complete Photographer Pure & Simple

Creative+Practice

This class is your portal to a creative journey of self-discovery, planning, and creative fun! We’ll use basic art supplies and recycled/upcycled materials as your toolkit for establishing a creative practice that you can use in all areas of your life. One session will be focused on basic bookbinding techniques that will enable you to make your own sketchbook if you choose.
