Jewelry Open Studio

Join fellow students in this open studio format. Enjoy the amenities of our amazing studio and finish up those projects! No instruction provided. Half day pricing available. Must have completed Beginners Metalsmithing at ACM and be an ACM or FSG member. Pre-registration preferred. Check with front desk for added open or cancelled studio dates.

Wire Wrap Ring Workshop

Intermediate Jewelry: Design and Construction

Easy Casting

Hydraulic Press Magic!

Glass Bead Making

Make your very own glass beads. This course covers basic flame working skills using a torch to melt rods of glass into beads. Students will learn through lecture, demos and hands on experience. Topics include learning how to set up a work station and safety tips. Techniques covered include various designs using dots, pulling stringers and twisties, raking, basic shapes, millefiori and applying frits. $30 supply fee payable to instructor.

Forging 101: The Basics

Weave, Wrap, Coil – Wire Weaving Jewelry

This class is for people who already have experience with wire work and wish to continue on to more complex wire and bead designs. Projects include rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings incorporating wire weaving techniques and wire gauges 16, 18, 20 and 26. Color With Fire On Copper Jewelry

You will learn how to handle a torch safely to create bursts of fabulous color on your copper piece. Additional interest is added with your choice of small beads (no larger than 3mm with a small hole no larger than 1mm). Bring your own beads or the instructor will have some for purchase. You will learn to drill small holes to attach the beads and complete the design. The final step will be to coat the burned copper with an acrylic coating to protect the color from changing.
