OPPORTUNITIES FOR ARTISTS TO EXHIBIT
AT ARTCENTER MANATEE
Would you like to curate an exhibition in the ArtCenter Manatee galleries or schedule a one man show for a
month?
ArtCenter Manatee is currently accepting proposals for exhibitions in its galleries for September 2011 - August 2012, when space is available.
There are three galleries in the ArtCenter: the Reid Hodges Gallery (the hallway as you enter the building),
the Searle Gallery (the gallery on your right as you pass the Welcome Center) and the Kellogg Gallery
(the gallery on your left as you pass the Welcome Center).
Pedestals of varying heights are available for use free of charge.
Exhibitions may feature any medium and we are especially encouraging photographers, 3D
artists, kinetic sculptors, glass, paper and textile artists to apply. click on the Proposal for Exhibition form and submit it
along with images which represent the scope of work in the proposed exhibit. All proposals
will be juried and scheduled on a first come, first served basis.

ArtCenter Manatee will provide the following:
- The presentation committee will hang all artwork
- Entry forms and labels are provided for each piece of art
- A program of artwork will be available during the entire exhibit
- Up to 100 invitations will be provided which the artist(s) may distribute. Additional invitations
may be purchased for a nominal fee.
- Press releases to all major area publications
- Announcement of exhibit in ArtCenter Manatee Exhibition Schedule and on ACM website
- ArtCenter Manatee will process all sales and receives a 40% commission on any work
sold while on display
Opening receptions:
The ArtCenter schedules an opening reception, on a Thursday night from 5-7pm.
The artist(s) are expected to work with the ArtCenter to provide hors d'oeuvres.

What are your gallery and Artists' Market hours?
Monday, Friday and Saturday 9am-5pm
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9am-6pm
Where is ArtCenter Manatee located?
ArtCenter Manatee is located in downtown Bradenton at the corner of 9th St. W. and 3rd Ave. W.
From Sarasota: Take 301 North. Turn left at SR64 which is also known as Manatee Ave. Turn right at 9th St. West. Turn right at 3rd Ave. W. and make an immediate left into the ArtCenter parking lot.
From Tampa/St. Pete: Take the Sunshine Skyway to Hwy 19 heading south. This will become SR41. When you reach the fork of SR41 and BUS41, stay right onto BUS 41. Travel through Palmetto and over the Green Bridge. Turn left at the first light at the bottom of the bridge (3rd Ave.) and make an immediate left into the ArtCenter parking lot.
From Lakewood Ranch:
Take SR64 to downtown Bradenton. Turn right onto 9th Street West. Turn right onto 3rd Ave. W and make an immediate left into the ArtCenter parking lot.
How much is the admission fee?
Admission is free and open to the public, with a suggested donation of $5.
How can I register for a class?
The class schedule is on-line or in print form. If you would like a printed schedule, please stop by the ArtCenter or call and ask to have one mailed to you. ArtCenter members automatically receive class and exhibition schedules in the mail.
You can register on-line or by phone with your credit card or visit us in person. The ArtCenter accepts MC, Visa and Discover Card, checks and cash.
Who can attend the opening receptions?
Everyone is invited to attend opening receptions which are usually held on Friday from 5-7pm during the
first week of each exhibition. Please refer to the exhibition schedule for exact dates and time.
There is a $5 cover charge for opening receptions. ArtCenter Manatee members are free. Come share a glass of wine or beer, hors d'oeuvres and meet the artists.
How can I show my artwork at ArtCenter Manatee?
You can enter artwork in open or member shows, apply to curate a show or rent a gallery or you can apply to
put your work in the Artists' Market. To enter an open or member show, review the entry requirements under the
listing for the appropriate exhibition on the Exhibitions page. To curate a show or rent a gallery, please contact Andi at 941-746-2861 for rental pricing. If you would like to make an appointment to be considered for the Artists' Market, you must call Carla at 746-2862. Your work will not be considered unless you have a scheduled appointment.
