Session 1: Beginning Color: Jan. 6, 13, 20, 27, Feb. 3, 10
Session 2: Advanced Color: Feb.17, 24, Mar. 3, 10, 17, 24
Session 3: Beginning Color: Mar. 31, Apr. 7, 14, 21, 28, May 5
Open to 2D media in pastels, watercolors, acrylics or oils at all skill levels. Learn to apply more
practical and meaningful ways to use color to enhance your artistic color style. This 6-week course
will remove your inhibitions and explain how and why certain color techniques work for particular
situations so you can apply them to your artwork! You will learn the 6-color wheel, combining
temperature with value, mixing colors more effectively for a richer, unified whole picture and
so much more. Students are to bring their usual art supplies for their primary choice of medium.
A painting will be created each class. Also these classes are sequential and best learned by signing
up at the beginning. All levels welcomed.

This is a hands on class in planning and executing art works that can be published as illustrations.
We will explore various techniques, old and new, for this purpose. Combining text with illustration
and planning whole books (children’s books especially in mind) will be an ongoing part of this fun class.
I will give advice for finding publishers and marketing as well.

This is a class for the adventurous. Using clay, wire, glaze and paint Bonnie and Jeanne will
teach you how to turn your two dimensional ideas into three dimensional works of art. This is a
true multi media experience that will be fun and exciting! Bring you ideas and get ready to grow
as an artist!
